Whenever we hear of Holland, we think of picturesque windmill fields, of miles upon miles of hectares containing nothing but tulips.Windmill 3D Screensaver is an app that brings together these two iconic elements, creating the ultimate dutch experience.

A visually impressive app

While the visuals themselves are not of the highest quality, this screensaver impresses through sheer numbers and size, as it depicts an entire farm that hosts a giant windmill, which in turn is surrounded by entire fields of tulips.The 3D rendering is a bit lacking by today's standards, as the models are too blocky, some textures are a bit pixelated, and all animations seem to be a bit robotic.While this isn't much of a problem for the windmill, the farm also hosts a myriad of animals which should move in amuch natural way.These drawbacks are compensating for the realistic lighting and bloom effects, along with the lighthearted music that will surely cheer you up even on the saddest of days.

An app that runs smoothly

Considering the size of the world that it depicts, you would expect Windmill 3D Screensaver to eat up a good deal of your system's resources, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The app ran well during testing, showing no signs of FPS drops or spikes.However, if you do encounter any problems, you can always choose to adjust or disable some audio and visual settings to ensure a smoother performance. For example, you can choose to adjust the screen's resolution and the music and SFX volume. You can also disable the sounds altogether, or enable the clock and FPS counter.
