It features a simple, modern design, and it comes with some nice features, but it does need some improvements.

Find interesting podcasts and bookmark them

The application uses iTunes RSS feeds to gather content, and there are several ways to find what you’re looking for. Podcasts can be filtered by country or genre, and the most popular ones are displayed in the main panel.Of course, Poddr also comes equipped with a search function, enabling you to find podcasts based on keywords. Once you’ve come across an interesting one, you can add it to your favorites.

Rather unimpressive when it comes to playback

When a podcast is selected, the available episodes are displayed in the right-hand panel. From here, you can select the one you want to play, but they cannot be sorted from oldest to newest, so a lot of scrolling is required when starting a new podcast.Also, the application does not continue to the next episode when one is finished, nor does it remember which of them you have already played. Even skipping to the next or previous episode is not possible.

Needs a few improvements

While the user interface is quite intuitive, and its color scheme is even customizable, it would have been great if the application could be sent to the system tray while listening to a podcast.In short, Poddr can definitely come in handy if you’re looking for a desktop podcast client, but it is not one of the better options at your disposal. It offers a limited set of features and is rather difficult to use.
