The program, netedit.c, can be uploaded to your host and compiled to support local editing. Then when you want to edit a host file, just enter "netedit xxxxxx", where xxxxxx is the host file name. The file will be downloaded to your computer, and placed within the editor of your choice. When the edit is completed, the file will be transferred back to the host. You can also edit and transfer binary files in the same way.
