WinSpeech reads text and produces speech through the sound card or PC speaker. In file mode it reads ASCII text or Windows Write (WRI) files, and in Clipboard mode it works with other Windows applications as a speech add-on utility (simply copy text to the Clipboard and it will speak it).

Other features include DDE mode (allows other applications to render text to speech), command line mode ( reads string or file specified in command line parameters during program start up), adjustable pitch and speech rate, dictionary editor for customizing pronunciation of words, Talking Coach that provides audio guidance throughout the program, and more.
