Omziff is a lightweight and portable piece of kit that prevents unauthorized users from accessing your files, by encrypting them with a password. It is oriented toward users of any level of experience.Thanks to its portability, installation is not required. You can just drop the executable file anywhere on the hard drive and run it immediately.It is also possible to save Omziff to a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any computer. Therefore, you can carry the app in your pocket whenever you're on the move.More importantly, the Windows Registry section does not receive new entries, and files are not left behind on the hard drive after removing the program.The interface of the program is made from a standard window with an uncomplicated layout, where you can open a file by using only the file browser, since "drag and drop" is unsupported. After establishing the output destination, file name, password and algorithm (e.g. Blowfish, Gost, IDEA, Rijndael), you can proceed with the encryption operation.Furthermore, you can generate a random password and select options (only numbers, only letters or both) and total number of characters. Additional features of Omziff let you shred files beyond recovery, split and merge files, create a file hash, make decoy files, generate random numbers and append files.Omziff finishes an encryption job rapidly while using a very low amount of CPU and system memory, so it doesn't hog the resources. It has a good response time and comes with a help file. No error dialogs have been shown in our tests and the app did not hang or crash. Thanks to its intuitive layout yet powerful features, Omziff should satisfy the whole audience.
