The object of the game is to prevent the opponent from being able to move when it is his turn to do so. This is accomplished either by capturing all of the opponent's checkers, or by blocking those that remain so that none of them can be moved. If neither player can accomplish this, the game is a draw.
Actual Checkers has strong AI for your computer opponent which can be played at different difficulty levels (by strength and time). A modern, friendly, comfortable and highly customizable interface lets you play at your pace. The ability to load and save games lets you stop and come back to a game in progress. Free add-ons let you add different background images, new figures, and support for a variety of languages.
