Overview

What is BImageStudio?

BImageStudio : Load more images at a time in order to rotate, flip, or crop, adjust color or brightness, and even convert to different file formats

In depth

A closer look at BImageStudio

Images are a popular file type nowadays, with various pictures being shared and uploaded on the Internet every day. However, most of them require some level of processing, or enhancement. For some basic operations, specialized applications like BImageStudio help you rotate and crop multiple pictures at a time.

Simple visuals make it easy to use

The application takes a little while to get installed, with an option to make it automatically run when setup is done. However, you need to make sure the computer you install it on is fitted with .NET Framework, although modern Windows versions come with it bundled. On the visual side of things, the application comes with a stylish, fresh design, that lets anyone quickly accommodate in the blink of an eye. An intuitive preview area is where pictures are also dragged and imported, just as suggested by the graphic design, with a side panel that lets you adjust various operations to determine quality and output.

Enhance colors and adjust technical details

The preview area can be set to a few different types, such as thumbnails, pane, gallery, or details, all with a slider to adjust size. Editing is done by managing several numerical values, or adjusting a quality slider. They are not applied in real time, with a dedicated button to put the process in motion. However, the set of enhancement options is rather poor, with the image itself not suffering from much visual styles, but rather more technical aspects like resize, crop, rotate, flip, rename, and convert to a different format. On the other hand, there is a filter option with a few sliders to adjust color and brightness, for minor enhancement. There’s also the possibility to save the set of configurations to file to later on apply it on a different batch of files. Moreover, the process initiation screen lets you select from multiple profiles, or just a single area or effect.

To end with

Bottom line is that BImageStudio might not be fitted with too many editing options, but it does come in handy for quickly fixing position or orientation problems, and even adjust colors for an entire picture collection. Multiple profiles can be saved and used later on, while accommodation is a walk in the park.
