It runs quietly in the System Tray Taskbar, monitoring your activity and recognizing when you have been working continuously. For example, if you stop for lunch, ErgoSense will recognize a break in your activity and will react to this change.
What ErgoSense is searching for are periods of work, such as an hour of continuous typing, where RSI is likely to occur. ErgoSense will then prompt you to have a break and will show you an exercise to do that will relieve common muscle tensions associated with workstation usage. You will be given a warning that such an exercise break is about to start and you will have the option to cancel it or to prepare yourself. If you wish to temporarily halt the exercise program, your can press the pause button when the demonstration animations start up.
ErgoSense also comes with a detailed help file that covers the risks and warning signs associated with RSI, along with tips for preventing injuries.
