is a program that runs NCAA basketball tournament office pools.
Madness uses low-level, resolution-independent graphics to draw great-looking brackets and scored sheets on a single screen rather than in unwieldy sections. Customized scoring rules let you run the pool by round or by seed.
Madness had the most intuitive entry sheet available. Just click on the teams you want to advance. But, why bother with manual data entry, when you can download the most current results from the Web and directly import them into Madness? Madness also provides robust leader boards, which can present reports in graph or grid format (suitable for hanging on your office wall). An on-line pay sheet even helps the administrator keep track of who is paid up and who still owes.
A new "Who Has" option provides a champion distribution report and tells you who has a given team surviving into a particular round or who has a given team eliminated in a particular round.
A "What Would" option provides sophisticated scenario analysis. Results are calculated for every possible scenario from the current point in the tournament through to a conclusion. You may then ask Madness to show the most favorable scenario for a particular player or select a particular scenario based on its description. Scenario results are then hooked into the standard leader board for your review.
A "Who Is" option tells you who is mathematically eliminated or who is still in contention. Analysis is not limited to first place. For example, on a large pool with several levels of prizes, you might want to know who is still in contention to place in the top 10. In short, Madness is all you will ever need to run office pools of any size.
