is a hex viewer that lets you view the text portions of any type of file.

A closer look at FilePeek
Non-displayable characters, including binary ones, are displayed as dots. FilePeek also has a hex view mode, if you need to see what those non-displayable characters are. You can search for text, and select and copy text to the Clipboard.
Once installed, you can run FilePeek by clicking its icon, or by selecting a file in Windows Explorer, right clicking, and choosing FilePeek from the context menu that appears.
