It didn't put a strain on the computer's performance in our tests, thanks to the fact that it needed a low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly. No error dialogs popped up and it didn't hang or crash. Although it hasn't been updated for a long time, Textpad ran smoothly on newer Windows editions, without showing signs of compatibility issues.On the other hand, it doesn't contain richer options or configuration settings. For example, it's not possible to save text to files. Nevertheless, Textpad is free and easy to use by anyone.Conclusion
