A straightforward, but minimalistic interface that is perhaps too basic
7OEMEditoR offers a very limited interface, with a non expandable window that only presents the essential buttons. There is also no help documentation of any kind for 7OEMEditoR and users who are unfamiliar with how the application works, especially since some of the areas can be filled out incorrectly if users are not careful.The issue is made worse by the inclusion of a registry editor in 7OEMEditoR. If users misuse it or don't know how to the registry editor, there is a serious risk of either doing harm to the system or causing errors in other areas of a computer.The program includes logo supporting, including a preview window that is included in the OEM details
There are five areas of information that 7OEMEditoR supports, although two of them are support areas that don't contain overly vital information. The three main areas of information are; Manufacturer, Model and Supported Hours.The two support areas for 7OEMEditoR include the logo and the SupportedURL. The program includes a browser directory to select an image file, with its preferred format being bitmap, however it can support image files of all types. As for the SupportedURL field, it doesn't support hyperlinks which seems like an odd oversight.A reasonable program that does exactly what it says, yet takes no steps to provide anything more
While 7OEMEditoR does what it proclaims to do, there seems to be a minimal amount of effort taken to achieve that goal. The lack of help documentation and basic interface design does 7OEMEditoR no favors, holding the application back from being more useful. Still, for those who just want to edit OEM information and already know how, 7OEMEditoR is perfectly serviceable.Conclusion
