It is also possible to establish the maximum buffer size and file dimension (in kilobytes), as well as pick the target drive or directory.Results shows the name, containing folder and size for each file. Unfortunately, it is not possible to sort them by location or size, but only by name. File String Finder can be integrated into the shell for quick searches when exploring the hard drive.A selected file can be opened in Notepad, examined directly via hexadecimal display, renamed, cut, deleted, copied to another location, or opened in Windows Explorer via the context menu.The software utility barely uses CPU and RAM during a task and it may take a while to finish a scan job. However, no error dialogs were shown in our tests, and the app did not hang or crash. The interface needs some major improvements, though. But we must take into account that File String Finder has not been updated for a while.
