How it works
The usage is brename filename new_filename mask, where you can specify the name of one or more files you want to change (including wildcards), while keeping in mind that files with system, hidden and read-only set attributes are automatically ignored.The mask is the starting position of the counter and the default one is 001, but it can be modified to suit your preferences. For instance, you can rename all files from a specified directory with the JPG and JPEG format.If tasks are not carried out properly, the tool reveals exit codes which tell you the nature of the issue: incorrect number of parameters ("1"), cannot find or rename the specified file ("2"), or allocation error ("4").
