PatchPE : A simple command line utility that patches your portable executable files to make them compatible with older versions of WindowsPatchPE PatchPE does not comes with a regular interface. Instead, it runs in the command console, but its syntax is simple enough for anyone to try it out. It only requires you to use the path of the target file as a parameter for PatchPE. The application displays information regarding the operating system version logged in the executable header, alongside details about the image and the subsystem version. It then proceeds to overwriting the fields that restrict the operating system edition, namely MajorOperatingSystemVersion, MinorOperatingSystemVersion, MajorSubsystemVersion, and MinorSubsystemVersion. The purpose is to make the application in question compatible with Windows NT 4.0 or later.
