Albm++ : Highlights ALBM photo albums in your graphics collection and allows you to read then extract their content to a folder of your choice
Old versions of HP photo printing applications (which communicate with the HP printers) generate ALBM files, which are, in fact, organized collections of digital photos. Since it is a proprietary format of HP, this type of file is not generally supported by regular photo viewers. If you have some photos that are dear to you inside such an HP-signed archive and you want to get them back, you can try out Albm++.
Tree-view browsing panel and a ribbon-based interface
The mission of Albm++ is simple: to allow you to extract the content of ALBM files without calling on HP software. This lightweight application can spot ALBM files on your computer, allowing you to extract their content and recover your photos. Thanks to the ribbon-based interface, using Albm++ is not difficult at all. All the options are placed carefully inside the ribbon, while the lower panel allows you to navigate to the desired folder and find ALBM files. Partitions and folders on your computer are shown in tree view to the left, while the content of the selected directory is revealed to the right.
Highlights ALBM files in your folders for you to spot them easier
There are different view modes, and you can choose the one that you prefer by customizing both the layout and the display of the main window.Additionally, files can be sorted based on various criteria, either ascending or descending. While all these features are meant to help you find the target files easier, Albm++ can also highlight ALBM files, leaving all the rest grayed-out.
View and extract photos inside HP ALBM albums
Provided you have a non-corrupt ALBM archive, Albm++ enables you to extract its content to a folder of your choice. You can do so by right-clicking on any ALBM file on your PC. You will get your photos back in no time.
