lets you create and play professional looking, interactive multimedia presentations.
It provides a drag-and-drop authoring environment for integrating multimedia materials consisting of text, sound (WAV and MIDI), graphics (BMP and JPG), movie (AVI and MPEG), synthesized speech (text-to-speech), animations, subprograms (EXE files), and buttons for user interactions.
It has 40 built-in transition effects, plus transparency and erasing for graphics. Text objects let you transport TrueType fonts to show on target machines. The text-to-speech synthesizer allows any random provided text, or text file. The speech pitch and rate is adjustable. You can use custom dictionaries.
Projects can run directly from within the program or can be built for distribution with a standalone player. In fully automatic mode, the self-extracting player will decompress data files, run the show, and then clean up everything on the target machine. In non-compressing mode, projects can be built to CD-ROMs, hard disks, or to integrate with other Windows programs. The presentation window size can be set to a fixed value or to be adjusted automatically to fit target machines. The tiny player takes only 55 KB of space for regular projects.
Slim Show can be used for making presentations, advertising, demos, tutorials, corporate imaging, story books, education, multimedia greeting cards, albums, newsletters and games.
