iComic is an upgraded version of iBert, a program that allows you to download new comic strips to your desktop and view them. Features include:
- Easy to use interface, works like Apple's Safari browser.

- Open architecture, supports plugins written in the Perl language
- A plugin may return a single image or a whole set (such as from an archive page)
- Windows sizes to fit the comic you're viewing
- Add strips you like to your Favorites. You can then add comments to them, and even find a strip based on your comments.
- Drag-and-drop from iComic directly into other applications such as Mail.
- Only downloads the strips if you are connected to the Internet — quite modem-friendly.
