Under normal circumstances, your PC spends much of its time waiting for commands and data input. CPUIdle turns off the microprocessor while it's idle, which can keep your CPU from overheating and extend its life. It can also stabilize an over-clocked system. CPUIdle does not slow down the performance of your PC at all, and it can enable certain options that may actually improve the overall performance.

The program can display CPU idle time and it can cooperate with the Motherboard Monitor utility.
