The native Lotus Notes notification box can be slow, and doesn't tell you who sent the mail or the subject.
NewMailExt appears within ten seconds after new mail has arrived. Other features of this program include a notification box that displays the subject, the sender, and optionally, the text part of the body, the ability to delete the mail from the notification box, the ability to reply to new mail displayed in the notification box without using the Lotus Notes workstation, and the ability to compose new mail.
